BRITANNIA AIRWAYS presented actor Martin Clunes with a cheque for ”1.5m by Denise Moore, representing the airlines cabin staff, last week when he visited their Luton headquarters on behalf of the Born Free Foundation where he is a Trustee. The cheque represents the total amount of money raised so far by Britannia passengers through the Spare Coins Saves Lives in-flight appeal. The Born Free Foundation is an international wildlife charity working to prevent cruelty, alleviate suffering and encourage everyone to treat all individual animals with respect. Born Free is dedicated to the conservation of rare species in their natural habitat, and the phasing out of traditional zoos. Through the tremendous support of Britannia passengers, the Spare Coins Saves Lives appeal has supported an array of projects including flying lions to South Africa and Florida, the sponsoring of a Chimp Island Sanctuary in Uganda and an otter and seal sanctuary in Scotland, plus the funding of Kenya”s largest ever Elephant relocation. http://www.britanniaairways.com
