BOMBARDIER has launched in Europe what it calls the world”s first "occupied hours" business jet charter programme. Customers using its Skyjet and Flexjet programmes will only pay by the hour. There are no positioning costs and since it is on a contract basis you are not charged if you are put in the ”hold” or have to ”go around”. (We have all sat in London taxis whilst the meter continues to click on and the cab stays put in the jam). Unlike fractional ownership schemes in Europe customers buy guaranteed flying hours rather than a physical share of an aircraft.
