BAC EXPRESS, the Gatwick based specialist freight airline, has taken the prestigious Baltic Air Charter Globe for 2003. Group chairman, Neil Dickson, received the award from Geraldine Malempr”, managing director of air charter broker Panavia, current president of the long established British professional body representing air charter brokers and airlines, at the Ironmongers Hall in the City of London last week. BAC currently operate a fleet of 19 freight aircraft specialising in loads up to six tonnes. Major current customers include both the Royal Mail and the Fedex feeder operation in Europe where they are the largest providers of air lift. BAC also has a thriving brokerage operation based in London”s Clerkenwell Road which undertakes both executive and large aircraft passenger charters as well as dealing with general cargo operations.
