AUSTRIAN ARROWS is the new name for Tyrolean Airways, although the old identity is not being lost entirely, it being retained on the aircraft fuselage as the operator. The new brand is part of a complete overhaul of the Austrian Airlines Group introduced by new chief executive, Vagn Sorensen, Austrian Airlines itself displaying a new clean image in the same style as ”Arrows”. The first ”Austrian” Airbus A330 will take to the skies in the new colour scheme in November 2003 with eight more of the fleet joining it during 2004. Lauda Air, the charter and leisure brand retains its identity.
