ATLANTIC FLIGHT TRAINING (AFT) has taken delivery of the first PA44 Seminole to be sold by Piper to a European operator. The ”250,000 twin engined Seminole is a fully airways equipped four-seater with a cruising speed of 180mph and a typical range of 750 miles. The aircraft will also be available for self pilot hire. Essentially the Seminole was chosen for compatibility with the fleet offered by AFT”s American partner, the Delta Connection Academy based at Sanford, Florida. Twin engine training is part of the JAA (European Joint Aviation Authority) commercial pilots licence requirements. Atlantic Flight Training, based at Coventry Airport, is a division of the Air Atlantique Group.
