American Airlines is set to begin flights between Heathrow and Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport in Arizona on 31 March 2019.
The carrier says its own flights will complement those already operated by its business partner British Airways. It is the airline’s first transatlantic route from Phoenix.
Flights will be operated by American Airlines’ B7770-200 aircraft, which features Flagship Business class lie-flat seats equipped with Bose noise-cancelling headphones, bedding designed by Casper and chef-inspired menus. Premium Economy offers a 38-inch seat pitch, noise-reducing headphones, an enhanced food and beverage selection and personal amenity kits. All cabins benefit from aircraft-wide international wifi and personal in-flight entertainment screens.
American Airlines also announced additional services from Philadelphia to Edinburgh, Berlin-Tegel, Bologna and Dubrovnik, from Dallas Fort Worth to Dublin and Munich, from Chicago to Athens and from Charlotte Douglas International to Munich.
