ALTEON is the new name for FlightSafety Boeing Training International (FSB) the Boeing aviation training subsidiary. Following a transition period, Alteon will become the official name for FSB later in the year. FSB was originally a joint venture formed between Boeing and FlightSafety International (FSI) in 1997. In October 2002, the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing. Currently FSB has over 800 employees in 21 locations worldwide, 72 full-flight simulators, plus numerous fixed-base and maintenance training simulators. (Clearly the name change fad has reached Chicago or maybe the US west coast but Boeing ought to know that if you search on Google there are 2,180 FSB and 68,500 Alteon!) . http://www.fsbti.com
