AIRBUS has finally confirmed an order from Lufthansa for ten A330-300s with delivery from 2004. Lufthansa currently operates a fleet of 34 A340s on its ultra long haul network and plans to deploy the A330s on routes to North America, Africa and the Middle East. This order will make Lufthansa the world”s largest A330/A340 operator.
