AIRBUS has begun introducing an airborne email access system with Cathay Pacific from last week, offering its Tenzing product across most of the airline”s fleet. The carrier is initially providing the service to passengers in first, business and the front rows of economy class. Access will be free until June, when passengers will begin paying a charge of $9.95 to read email headers plus a further 60 cents for each kilobyte they read or send. Airbus says that the company is also working on a broadband operation. Lufthansa is expected to report later this week on the first six weeks operation of their ”Boeing Connexion” system. http://www.airbus.fr
