Canadian carrier Air Transat is planning to boost capacity on its services from the UK and Ireland to Toronto and Montreal for summer 2020.
Flights from Gatwick to Toronto will double to a twice daily frequency, while the Montreal route will increase to five times a week – up from three currently. The carrier uses its new Airbus A321neoLR aircraft for many of these flights.
In addition, Air Transat is phasing out its A310 on flights from Glasgow and Dublin to Toronto and replacing it with an all-A330 service from the former airport five times a week, and a mix of A330 and A321neoLR operations from Dublin also five times a week. The airline currently uses the A330 on flights between Manchester and Toronto.
For the summer 2020 season, the carrier will offer more than 30 direct flights per week from the UK and Ireland to Canada.
