AIR MIDWEST, a small regional carrier owned by Mesa Air Group, and part of the US Airways Express commuter network, suffered the loss of a Beechcraft 1900 and all 21 people on board last Wednesday (8 January). The aircraft struck a hangar when attempting to get airborne on a flight from Charlotte, NC, to Greenville/Spartanburg, SC. There were no reported injuries to anyone on the ground and initial speculation seems to have ruled out technical failure by the aircraft.
