AIR LIB has finally been liquidated at the request of a French court ending a saga that traces the sale of the carrier from its original owners through British Airways, and on to Swissair. The airline served a number of European destinations as well as Algeria, Cuba and French Antilles. Its bank of slots at Orly, thought to be about 45,000, is now open to all comers.
