Air France-KLM and China Eastern
Airlines are to co-operate more closely following the decision by the latter to
participate in the former's capital restructuring plan.
The airlines will intensify their
commercial collaboration, including the expansion of the joint venture between
the airlines that was established in 2012 to add routes from Paris-Beijing and
Amsterdam-Beijing, subject to various conditions being satisfied.
The airlines will also co-operate
more closely on ground services, catering and maintenance.
China Eastern Airlines first took
an equity stake in Air France-KLM in 2017 and will own up to a 10 per cent
stake in the group following the new placement.
