All Nippon Airways (ANA) has been given the 2019 J-Win Diversity Awards’ Advanced Achievement Award by Japan Women’s Innovation Network (J-Win).
The honour recognises the group’s progressive policies, including the ANA Group Diversity and Inclusion Promise, which was issued in 2015.
ANA says that by establishing targets for promoting diversity and through the strengthening of employee networks, it is better able to recognise and reward internal talent. Moving forward, the airline will continue its commitment to gender equality and “removing barriers for female employees”.
The group was also commended for its programmes aimed at providing employees with a better work-life balance.
Hiroyuki Kunibu, executive vice president of ANA, commented: “As a global ambassador of Japan, ANA strongly believes in bringing the best of Japan to the world. This requires creating an environment where every employee can shine. We have made enormous progress in recent years but are still committed to improving career prospects for female employees. Recognition from J-Win and other respected groups serves as a reminder that our efforts are reaching beyond our company and to Japanese society as a whole.”
