All Nippon Airways (ANA) has taken delivery of its new Boeing 787-10, making it the first Japanese carrier to use the aircraft.
The new aeroplane features 235 upgraded seats in Economy and 21 updated seats in Premium Economy, along with 38 lie-flat beds in Business Class, all of which have direct aisle access.
ANA will begin using the 787-10 on 26 April on its Tokyo Narita to Singapore Changi service before moving it to its Narita-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi route from 1 July.
The airline says it plans to acquire three 787-10s by the end of the 2020 fiscal year and gradually introduce them to its Southeast Asian routes.
Hideki Kunugi, executive vice president of ANA, commented: “The 787-10 is a cutting-edge plane and ANA is honoured to be the first Japanese airline to fly the aircraft. ANA now has the distinction of being the only airline in Asia to operate all models of the 787 aircraft (8, 9 and 10).
