Staycity Group has opened its latest Wilde aparthotel in the UK university city of Cambridge as part of its expansion plan.
Wilde, Cambridge City Centre offers 227 studio and one-bedroom apartments, which can cater for up to four guests, including 22 accessible rooms.
All units feature kitchenettes and dining spaces, while there is also a gym, laundry room and communal space on the ground floor with a co-working area, lounge, shop and all-day café bar.
The property has been developed with a “focus” on sustainability by using more eco-friendly construction materials, air source heat pumps, 56 solar panels and a rainfall harvesting system.
Dublin-based Staycity launched its lifestyle Wilde brand, named after writer Oscar Wilde, in 2018 with a property in London’s Covent Garden. It now has four aparthotels in London as well as locations in Manchester, Edinburgh and Berlin.
Forthcoming Wilde properties are due to follow in Vienna next month and Lisbon in November. The brand also has plans to open locations in Amsterdam and Porto.
