Serviced accommodation agency Situ has been selected to partner with Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB), which specialises in finding employment for refugees.
Situ will partner with accredited Association of Serviced Apartment (ASAP) members as TBB’s recommended accommodation provider in the UK.
The agency will discuss the immediate accommodation needs for refugees arriving to start jobs in the UK and then work with ASAP members to secure “appropriate accommodation at the best commercial terms”.
Currently, TBB works with refugees in Jordan and Lebanon but plans to expand its work to other countries.
Phil Stapleton, Situ’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with TBB and supporting such an innovative and humanitarian initiative.
“Having ASAP members with us further ensures that we can offer the best accommodation for these people starting a new chapter of their lives.”
James Foice, CEO of ASAP, added: “When we were approached to support and get involved with this initiative, we didn’t hesitate.
“These people have been displaced through no fault of their own. They are looking to get their lives and careers back on track, and they are entitled to start their new roles somewhere safe and comfortable for themselves and their families.”
Meanwhile, Situ has also been awarded gold status by Investors in People (IIP) to recognise the agency’s positive approach towards its employees.
IIP said in its report that the survey and discussions with Situ’s staff clearly highlighted that the company has “clear values which inform their culture and the way they operate with staff, clients and stakeholders”.
Phil Stapleton said: “The company is nothing without the people who work in our business. We work hard to focus on creating a culture that is inclusive, open and empowering.”
