Serviced accommodation agency Situ is expanding in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to meet increased demand for extended stay options.
As part of this strategy, UK-based Situ has appointed Monika Meel as senior supply manager based in Bangalore. Meel was previously a sourcing manager at Acomodeo.
Meel said: “It’s very exciting to be working with Situ, a company that clearly has so much ambition and a great reputation for being a business that is good to work with. APAC accommodation operators are keen to connect and become part of the established Situ global supply chain.”
Situ is also now working closely with STAAH, a New Zealand-based channel and distribution management specialist offering a range of accommodation, including serviced apartments and hotels, from more than 16,000 suppliers with a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region.
Seth Hanson, head of global supply at Situ, added: “Working with STAAH is a game-changer for us. Its breadth of coverage across APAC, combined with its ability to directly plug the Situ proprietary API into its integration tool is making it much easier for us to do business in the region and to keep pace with demand.”
