Serviced apartment firm SilverDoor is adding more live content and rates to its online booking tool using “robotic process automation”.
The London-based accommodation company said it has deployed an automated “digital worker” to accelerate the addition of bookable apartment content on its platform.
“The digital worker harvests, processes and tests live rates 10 times faster than a human, accelerating the upload process of online inventory,” said SilverDoor in a statement.
“As well as processing and testing new live rate plans, the digital worker also checks existing rates to ensure they’re accurate, delivering even faster updates and recommendations.”
SilverDoor explained that it had invested in this technology to meet “increasing demand from clients for access to live rates and inventory content”.
Other improvements to the booking tool include making it easier for users to compare options and a currency selector to view prices in preferred local currencies.
Hanish Vithal, chief technology officer at SilverDoor, added: “We understand how critical it is for our clients to have access to online apartment content.
“Corporate bookers of serviced apartments increasingly expect a consumer-grade online experience, and live rates are vital for a smooth, personalised and frictionless booking journey on the SilverDoor OBT.”
The company last August announced a merger with Synergy Global Housing, with the 'integration' of the two companies expected to be complete in early 2026.
