Edyn’s aparthotel brand Locke has announced an expansion
plan with its first international sites due to open over the next two years in
Germany, Ireland, Copenhagen and Portugal, as well as three further properties
in London and one in Cambridge.
Locke, which offers an aparthotel format with the design,
food and beverage offering and service of a boutique hotel, has opened four UK
properties over the last four years in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
The brand will be opening three new properties in London,
two in Dublin, two in Munich, and one each in Berlin, Cambridge, Lisbon and
Copenhagen between Autumn 2020 and 2022.
The expansion announcement comes as Locke prepares to reopen
its existing portfolio on 4 July following the UK government’s relaxation of
coronavirus lockdown restrictions. The company has introduced additional measures
to protect guests and staff, including contactless check-in and check-out,
no-contact apartment cleaning, independently-accredited hygiene standards and a
grocery delivery service for guests.
