Aparthotel brand Locke is adding two new properties to its portfolio slated to open later this year.
The WunderLocke in Munich, which is scheduled to open in May, will have 360 studio apartments as well as a co-working space, meeting and event space, a fitness studio and outdoor pool.
The company also plans to open Locke at East Side Gallery in Berlin in July. The property features 176 studio apartments with kitchenettes and living spaces. It will also offer a gym, meeting and event space, coffee shop and a restaurant.
The openings this year build on Locke’s existing portfolio of 12 properties across London, Cambridge, Dublin and Munich.
Other lifestyle accommodation providers are also expanding with new properties this year.
Accor brand Mama Shelter is opening properties in Lisbon in January as well as a third hotel in Paris, slated for March. A third property will open in Dubai towards the end of the year.
The brand is planning to add 19 properties to its portfolio between now and 2025 with new openings in France, Romania and Brazil scheduled for 2023.
