IHG Hotels & Resorts is to continue its expansion in the UK with nine new properties across five of the company’s brands including Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo and Staybridge Suites.
The company said the additions “strengthen its powerhouse status” in its home market of UK and Ireland where it has the largest presence in Europe.
New properties include Hotel Indigo Exeter and the forthcoming Hotel Indigo London – K West Shepherd’s Bush, as well as voco Lythe Hill Hotel, a historic county house hotel in Surrey, which is due to open by the end of spring 2023.
Holiday Inn has opened new properties in the Greater Manchester suburb of Oldham, as well as Manchester airport and Sunderland. While sister brand Holiday Inn Express is to add hotels in Fleet in Hampshire and Halifax.
IHG has also just opened Staybridge Suites Brighton offering 101 rooms for guests looking for extended stays.

IHG currently has 348 properties in the UK across all its brands with another 18 hotels in the development pipeline.
