IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first voco hotel in the Republic of Ireland by taking over an existing property near Dublin.
Voco The Club - Dublin Gateway, formerly known as The Club Hotel at Goffs, will be fully rebranded by the end of this summer. The property is located 15 miles west of Dublin in County Kildare in an area known as “Thoroughbred County” for its horse racing stables.
The hotel offers 50 rooms, a brasserie-style restaurant, spa and a range of meeting spaces including a boardroom and The Barn for events of up to 120 attendees.
Willemijn Geels, vice president, development for Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, added: “This remarkable property not only sets a high standard for the voco brand but also lays a solid foundation for our expansion across the country as we look to explore new opportunities across our diverse brand portfolio.”
Voco is a conversion brand launched by IHG in 2018 and now has more than 30 open properties across Europe, with another 19 in development including voco London - Waterloo, which is due to open in 2028. The brand already has a property in the Northern Ireland capital Belfast, which opened in 2024.
