IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of four new properties in the UK through a deal with Fairview Hotels.
The hotels will add a total of more than 380 rooms to IHG’s UK portfolio and will operate under the voco and Garner brands.
Voco London — Bloomsbury is located in central London, close to IHG’s existing Kimpton Fitzroy London and Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury hotels.
The 114-room property, which was formerly part of Accor’s Mercure brand, will be reflagged as a voco hotel from the middle of this year after undergoing refurbishment. IHG said the property would remain open during this renovation period.
IHG now has 21 voco properties operating in the UK and Ireland, with another five locations in its development pipeline.
The company is also adding three midscale Garner hotels in Rotherham, Lincoln and Chesterfield. The property in Rotherham is already open, while the other two hotels are both due to open this month.
IHG has been expanding Garner’s presence in the UK since launching the brand into the market in March 2025. Garner currently has five open hotels in the country.
Willemijn Geels, IHG’s vice president of development in Europe, said: “We are thrilled to be adding four new properties to our portfolio with Fairview Hotels, expanding our partnership to six hotels and underscoring our shared commitment to growth in the UK.
“The continued growth that we’re seeing across the market is a testament to the confidence our partners have in IHG’s brands, and it is exciting to see our newer voco and Garner brands resonating with owners and guests alike.”
