Hyatt Hotels is continuing its expansion in Europe by announcing a franchise agreement for the first Unbound Collection property in Frankfurt.
Kennedy 89 is a 181-room luxury hotel currently being developed in the Sachsenhausen district of Frankfurt, which is due to open as an Unbound Collection property later this year.
It will become the second Hyatt property in the German city after the existing Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. The Unbound Collection features a range of independent premium properties.
Kennedy 89 will be located on Frankfurt’s Kennedy Allee, which is named after former US president John F Kennedy.
All rooms, including 68 suites, will offer private balconies and integrated kitchenettes as the property looks to target the extended stay market.
The hotel will also offer a ground floor “destination” restaurant, as well as bars on the first floor and rooftop. Other facilities include a gym, underground parking plus banqueting space and meeting rooms.
Felicity Black-Roberts, Hyatt’s vice president, development for Europe and North Africa, said: “With Frankfurt being one of the world’s leading financial centres, we are delighted to announce plans for the first hotel in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in the city with this one-of-a-kind property, marking an important milestone in our impressive luxury brand growth in Europe.”
