Four Seasons hotels and resorts and Chinese real estate developer Luneng Group have announced plans to open a luxury Four Seasons hotel in Dalian, northeastern China.
Situated within the Donggang (East Harbour), the hotel will open in the redeveloped financial and commercial hub of the city, which is an important seaport.
The new tower will house office space along with the hotel and will offer views of both the historic port and downtown Dalian. Its location gives business travellers easy access to industrial and commercial centres, as well as restaurants, bars and shopping.
Designed by NBBJ Shanghai and Hirsch Bedner Associates Singapore, Four Seasons hotel Dalian will feature approximately 250 guest rooms and suites, a pool, fitness centre and spa. The hotel will also offer event and meeting spaces, including several ballrooms and meeting rooms, according to the group. Tokyo-based designer Strickland will develop on-site restaurants, a hotel bar, lobby lounge and a deli and pastry shop with an outdoor terrace.
Construction is set to begin later this year, with the hotel anticipated to open in 2020.
