Thailand-based hotel firm Dusit International is planning to enter the French market after agreeing a partnership with real estate company SYDEL.
The deal will see the creation of a joint venture, called Dusit France, which will identify potential locations in France for Dusit properties across its nine brands which span the luxury, upscale, midscale and long-stay sectors, including Dusit Hotels, ASAI Hotels and Dusit Suites.
Gilles Cretallaz, chief operating officer of Dusit International, said the company was seeking opportunities to expand its footprint in Europe.
“This partnership marks an important milestone in our global expansion strategy, and we are confident that our unique blend of cultural authenticity, innovation and gracious service will resonate strongly with travellers and developers alike,” added Cretallaz.
Dusit’s current portfolio includes nearly 300 properties in 18 countries, which are primarily located in Asia. In Europe, it operates Dusit Suites Athens in Greece.
