Accor has opened a second hotel in Hungary under its design-led TRIBE brand, at Budapest Airport.
The 167-room TRIBE Budapest Airport is located within walking distance of the airport’s Terminal 2 and is directly connected to the ibis Styles Budapest Airport, a sister brand under the Accor portfolio.
The hotel features a rooftop bar and “spacious” restaurant and lounge that can accommodate up to 140 guests. Additionally, there’s a 150-seat conference room, two meeting spaces and a fitness centre. The building is also set to become one of the country’s first BREEAM-certified hotels, according to Accor.
TRIBE, which was founded in 2017 in Australia, already operates a hotel at the city’s Groupama Arena, as well as properties in Paris, Dusseldorf, London, Amsterdam, Riga in Latvia, and at Manchester and Milan Malpensa airports.
Pauline Oster, vice president of TRIBE Europe & North Africa, said: “After a strong start in Budapest, we’re excited to launch a second hotel in under two years, proving the brand is a game changer in the Hungarian and Eastern European markets.”
The new airport hotel is being operated by property development company WING, which also developed Accor’s existing TRIBE and Ibis properties in the Hungarian capital.
