Global hospitality company Accor has said every one of the
270 hotels in its UK and Ireland portfolio have signed up to its new ALLSAFE
cleanliness and prevention programme.
ALLSAFE requires hotels to follow rigorous hygiene measures
and employee protocols. To comply, properties must deliver on actions including
hospital-grade room disinfection, deep cleaning of all upholstery and carpets,
with bedding washed and treated at high temperatures.
There will also be social
distancing practices implemented in public areas and partitioning at check-in
desks to protect guests and staff. The programme also includes free
telemedicine consultations for guests provided by AXA Partners.
Accor has also partnered with Bureau Veritas to develop a certification programme for hotels as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
