Travel management company Altour UK is planning to expand its presence in Scotland over the next 12 months.
Altour UK is part of Internova Travel Group, formerly Travel Leaders Group, and merged with Glasgow-based sister company Barrhead Business Travel in 2021.
The TMC’s planned expansion in Scotland will take place under the new Altour Scotland brand and includes the creation of new full-time positions. The Scottish team will be led by recently promoted team leader Jen Doig.
Altour Scotland is also joining the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA), the country’s leading travel trade organisation.
Maria Baty, managing director of Altour UK, said: “Following our merger with Barrhead Business Travel, we always planned to initiate an expansion plan north of the border. Our Scottish team have excellent relations with their clients having nurtured their accounts for many years and their stellar reputation will stand us in great stead.
“There are many globally minded Scottish industries, such as energy and construction, which are thriving and who require the expertise that a travel management company, such as Altour, can offer.”
Altour Scotland is targeting key sectors such as energy and construction as it looks to grow its client base.
