Karhoo has announced a partnership with booking and dispatch platform iVcardo in a move that expands its services globally.
The integration will provide Karhoo with increased infrastructure and access to transport operators beyond ride-hailing city strongholds as part of the company’s international expansion.
Karhoo’s platform brings licensed fleets together with global travel operators and local authorities to create mobility solutions for travellers and citizens. Its integration options allow partners to offer e-hailing and pre-booking into their applications and online channels. Its current supply stands at 1.8 million licensed taxi and private hire vehicle fleets in 1,500 cities across six continents.
iVcardo’s enablement platform, which facilitates booking, exchange, fulfilment and billing of passenger transport services on a global scale, will also allow Karhoo and its partners to track journeys globally.
The firm will initially support Karhoo by connecting the platform with transport operators including taxi, limo, minibus and coach companies across Europe.
According to the company, the partnership will allow it to onboard local fleets in remote areas of the world onto its platform.
Karhoo says the journey-monitoring capability will be of particular importance for corporate customers who have employees travelling into emerging and unfamiliar markets.
Co-CEO Nicolas Andine (pictured) said: “By partnering with iVcardo, we will now have the ability to connect with transport operators anywhere in the world instantly. Crucially, we will also have the ability to track these rides in real time no matter where they are. As Karhoo scales up globally, these factors are absolutely key to our partners.”
iVcardo founder and chairman Simon Gare added: “We believe the dynamic Karhoo model which maximises the opportunities for drivers and vehicles in a safe and responsible fashion is where the world of mobility is heading. We are very excited to be working alongside them as they embark upon this period of global growth.”
The deal with iVcardo follows a similar partnership with Moses announced in May.
