New European hotel brand LyvInn has opened its first property in the German commercial hub of Frankfurt.
LyvInn Hotels has been set up by Navneet Bali, who was formerly CEO and chairman of Meininger Hotels, as a “hybrid” brand combining flexible accommodation with co-working desks and social areas to target both the extended and short-stay markets.
The 164-room LyvInn hotel in Frankfurt was formerly a Meininger property and has undergone major refurbishment. It is located in the centre of the city close to the financial district and the Messe Frankfurt trade fair venue.
“LyvInnis a unique hybrid hotel allowing young people to stay, work, play and connect in vibrant ‘start-up’ cities,” explained Bali. “LyvInn’s aim is to operate in every major European city.”
The Frankfurt property will be operated under a management agreement and the new hotel brand has secured funding from London-based investment firm Blantrye Capital.
“The strong financial and operational support of Blantyre has helped us create this amazing brand and we are now looking to actively grow the portfolio with our partner,” added Bali.
Johann Scheid, investment executive at Blantyre, added: “We are confident this makes it a compelling offering in the Frankfurt Messe market. We are looking to grow the portfolio under the LyvInnbrand in Germany and across Europe over the coming years.”
